Butterfingers Etc

butterfingersOkay, so I’ve been absent for a few days. Well, I replaced my hard drive. I have two, but the old one is already giving me problems. My computer has been freezing up and I hear this sort of clanking noise from the tower. I did a quick inspection and listened carefully so I would know which part is making the noise. My sister offered to buy the new hard drive, an 80GB Seagate Ultra ATA. I don’t know if the old one would still work if I try to defrag it, but I don’t have time right now.

Anyway, I was able to buy Butterfingers for me-self, courtesy of those beloved butterfinger donors Thank you, thank you! For those who wants to share a Butterfinger blessing, I would so much appreciate it!

benjo, my nephewLast Sunday, my nephew, Benjo, celebrated his 1st birthday at McDonald’s. I honestly don’t like birthdays in McDonald’s or any other fast food places. The time is limited, only and hour and a half, and it burns a big hole on your pocket. But then, I can’t deny the fact that my cousin was able to spare himself all the trouble of preparing the food. I think there were more than 70 guests who showed up. It was a fun party for a kid’s birthday celebration. Benjo cried a lot of times because of the noise. He’s not used to more than 5 kids shouting a big “Happy Birthday” to him. I think he enjoyed the Ronald McDonald mascot. He touched his face a lot of times. I remember my sister being scared of mascots, that her body shook literally out of fear. She thought that mascots were small toys, as seen on TV. I actually laughed when she shook uncontrollably, ice cream at hand, looking at Hetti (the Spaghetti mascot of Jollibee). I thought she was just playing, but when my mom saw her, she started to cry. I’ve never had any fear of mascots, but I don’t really like them.

So I’ve been stumbling for the last few hours and found a Kaleidescope Painter. It is actually pretty cool. I think I am addicted to stumbleupon.

Care to spread some technorati love?

I commend you for trying to fix the problem yourself! I would have just let my sister get me a new hard drive and not even mess with it LOL Kudos!

@Mimi: Thanks ;) I’ve had the training to tinker inside computers, and I’m so glad I’ve had that training, or else, I would’ve paid a lot for a technician to fix it.

Your nephew is so adorable! I’ve never been to a 1-year-old birthday party before. My mother always tells me that I cried a lot on my first birthday as well.

That Kaleidoscope Painter is quite a lot of fun.

Hi Dre, hope everything is fine. Happy B-day to your nephew. Hope he had\a fantastic day. For some reason, I can only view you with the butterfinger but not your nephew’s photo. It would be a lie If I say he’s gorgeous but nevertheless, I’m sure he is :)

Yikes. I don’t like it when the mascots try to hug you… I’m afraid of them too! @_@ But I’m much more afraid of clowns. haha.

I am afraid of clowns, too. I think they look somewhat evil, don’t you think?

First of , I don’t like Butterfinger. I never liked it. Second, I used to like mascots… when I was still a kid. But now, I can’t help but laugh when I see one. Haha. I don’t know why pero they really look funny to me, especially Jollibee. Lol. Finally, naalala ko tuloy yung mga giant lanterns nung chineck ko yung Kaleidoscope Painter.

That’s a really interesting way to make money for your website! I should try to think of something like that.

I’m glad your nephew had a good time. I agree, stumbleupon is pretty fun. I do that when I have nothing else to do online.

@Christian: I think most people doesn’t like Butterfinger because it is a little salty. But I like the combination of the sweetness with it.

Now, I think that mascots sometimes take advantage of the *adults* hahaha, coz they tend to hug you even if you’re not even trying to like them.
