Goodbye 2008, Hello 2009!

It’s the last day of 2008 and it feels like the year just passed me by like Superman trying to save all the damsels. I am not sure of I can rate this year as a better year for me and my family. We truly went through a lot this year, like surviving the fire, picking up the pieces to help my immediate family. Until now, they are still struggling.

Just like last year, I will recap the year that’s passed.

January

February

  • I met Ryan’s dad. He lives in California and came home after 18 years. I was quite nervous, but everything turned out great.
  • Treated Valentine’s Day as a regular day.

March

  • My father turned 54.
  • Endured and enjoy the last few days of college and attended job replacement seminar to “prepare for the future”.

April

May

  • Our home got burglarized. I lost my digital camera, my cellphone; my sister’s wallet was taken, too; P300,000 worth of our family jewelry were taken as well. My dog, Booboo, was even hurt by the burglars.
  • I got a job as web designer from a US company; which I’m still with indefinitely.

June

  • Trying to look busy at work. I am still adjusting to the new environment and dealing with older colleagues.
  • Still paranoid. We can’t leave our home without anyone left behind. The police found the suspects who burglarized our home, but no case has been filed due to lack of evidence. I miss my old camera…

July

August

September

October

November

December

I guess 2008 wasn’t that bad or that great, but it was definitely a colletion of experiences that made me a much stronger person. I still think that everyday is an opportunity to experience different and new things. I am looking forward to a new year of better experiences. I hope to find a better job, or probably start a family business. I don’t really list down New Year’s resolutions, I just go with the flow and see where like takes me.

Good luck everyone! Don’t lose any fingers!

Happy New Year!

It sucks about the burglars. I can’t believe they even hurt your dog! Material possessions is one thing but hurting animals… That’s unforgivable.

Heeey, don’t say that turning 26 is bad! I’ll be 26 in a couple of months! :P

I am very excited for the new year. So far it’s feeling pretty good, I’ve already experienced a little bump in the road but I’m hoping whatever comes next will be fabulous.
