Healthy Eating

For the past three weeks, I have started to count my calorie intake. It’s been a while since I cared about what I eat, but I had a change of heart since I did pack on a few pounds. In our household, drinking Coke is a staple during lunch and dinner, which is not healthy. I don’t even drink much water. I’ve been drinking a lot of fruit juices and at least 2L of water a day. I’ve stopped drinking Coke, but if I do, I only drink 1/3 in a glass. It is the healthy choice. I’ve lost 3lbs, so far, and 2 1/2 inches on my waistline.

Today, I had a healthy lunch. You might want to try it.

Tuna, Corn and Mushroom

Tuna, Corn and Mushroom

What you need:

  • 1 can of whole baby corn
  • 1 can of whole mushroom
  • 1 can of Century Tuna Lite in oil
  • dash of iodized salt (1 pinch)
  • 2 tbsp of butter

What to do:

  1. Cut the baby corns into three; slice the mushrooms into 4-5 sections
  2. Heat the butter on a pan.
  3. Before all the butter melts, add the baby corns.
  4. After 2 minutes, add the mushrooms.
  5. After 4 minutes, add the can of tuna, mix well.
  6. Add a dash of salt to taste.
  7. In three minutes, it’s ready to serve.

Let me know if you’ve tried it. It does taste really good.

Well that’s good that you’ve started to pay attention to what you’re eating. It’s important to try to stay healthy! Unfortunately the only things in that recipe I like are butter and salt :P But I’m just a picky eater.

I love eating stirfries. I tend to like to put more veggies then I do meat and then voila! I’ve got a ton of food left over. It’s also super healthy for you too.

Ugh! I really need to cut down on my food/drink intake. I go away to Florida in a few months and I am not at all beach ready, haha! That food looks yummy though. I shall for sure give it a try =)

Congrats on trying to eat more healthy! My family is ADDICTED to soda — especially my mother! It’s safe to say that she can drink an entire 2-litre bottle in one day! I don’t drink a lot of soda; but I can’t drink down my food with water. I need soda for that or at least some juice!
