It’s “YOUR” Fault
I am supposed to be asleep right now (3:39am), but obviously, I am not. I was bothered by Ryan’s lack of discipline today. Well, technically, it was last night. He knew he had to wake up by 11pm so he could get ready for work, but he slept at 9pm. I understand that there was a party at their house yesterday because of his cousin’s Christening1 but that’s no excuse to drink and be late for work. I had been calling his cellphone for 30 minutes non-stop just to wake him up, but then the battery emptied, so I called their house. His uncle (about 2 years older than us) answered the phone and I asked if Ryan was getting ready for work. He was the one who told me that Ryan drank last night and slept late. I had to explain to him that he has to wake him up or else Ryan’s boss would be breathing on his neck. After 15 minutes, he sent me a text message and blamed his uncle for sleeping late. Duh. He knows his responsibility.
I dislike hearing excuses by blaming things on someone else when it is very obvious that it is your fault. It makes me feel stupid and I don’t like being patronized. I’ve told him more than 5 times to answer my questions straight up because I am mature enough to handle things, and I know when I am given a stupid alibi. I may sometimes keep mum on these sort of things, but it doesn’t mean he should take advantage of it.
Argh!

You are completely right – it is his job and his responsibility ability to get their in time. It was nice of you bothering for 30 minutes trying to wake him up – he owes you.
