Limited Access in Paypal?
Wasn’t I the happiest person when I learned that I can use paypal they way it’s supposed to be used? But why, dear Paypal did you do give me a limited access?
I was about to pay for my upgraded domain/hosting plan the other day when paypal gave me an error page saying I cannot use my account to send money. Of course, I was annoyed. I sent a text message to the greatest, Pao, and asked the biggest favor of paying my domain/hosting through her paypal. I will pay her back of course, once this paypal fiasco is over. Paypal, is not being a pay pal.
I already sent them the needed documents to prove that I am who I am and I live where I say I do. I just hope I get a quick response. I want to make use of my funds, I want to buy another domain, and I don’t want to be hassled by paying through bank transfers. I just hope I get a resolution as soon as possible.
UPDATE:
After they checked the documents that I sent in:
- scanned copy of my passport
- scanned copy of my proof of address
Paypal finally cleared me and I was able to use my account.

I have read so much bad comments about PayPal Philippines. But at least, it is a good start. I just hope they’ll make all of their services available pretty soon. As of now, I cannot subscribe just yet. One more month to go, and I’ll have a PayPal account! Woot!

This is annoying. I never had such problems, as I use other payment systems than paypal. Maybe that depends on the versions of the different countries.

considering that the phils used to be in their blacklist and just recently got out of that list, i’m a bit nervous about how sensitive paypal’s system will be to us. as a precaution, try not to access your paypal account from a different computer, and have it verified as soon as your limited status is lifted.

Hope it’ll be resolved quickly. If my host would close my site down because I wouldn’t be able to pay because of technical payment issues, then I’d be really mad :(
