Milk & Mixture

Milk and Mixture

When I heard about Milk & Mixture from an online friend, I asked her if their products are really good. I became very interested, especially when I saw the products on their online store.

I ordered a couple of things, Pinch My Apples (lip and cheek tint) and Cinnamon Vanilla Souffle (facial scrub). My sister also ordered Pinch My Apples and Jam (Lip Balm).

We sent our orders on the 3rd week of July but our orders were confirmed days after that because the owner said she something really important came up. Anyway, we paid our orders by July 29. I expected to get the items by the end of the week, but I got nothing. So I sent an SMS to M&M and she said she would ask her assistant because she was out of the house, that was Thursday or Friday, I think. I tried to confirm again, but M&M said that the items weren’t shipped yet because they were repackaging their items. M&M said the items will be shipped by Monday or Tuesday, at the latest, and she offered a freebie, a Gingerbread Crumble. I was happy with that, of course.

Tuesday came, no items arrived. I sent an SMS to M&M and she said she got the flu. I truly understand that these are unfortunate situations, but all I wanted were simple updates. If I don’t initiate the contact, I won’t know what is going on. She said, she’d get the items delivered by Thursday. Again, she offered another free and I chose the Vanilla Honey Syrup, a body wash. Again, I am truly happy about that.

On Thursday, I received an SMS from them saying that the items will be picked up by the courier on Friday. I didn’t get the items that weekend. I got another SMS on Saturday, she said the courier didn’t pick up the items and offered to personally deliver the items. Unfortunately, I wasn’t home.

I got another SMS late that night and she said that I will have the items on Sunday or Monday at the latest. Anyway, I FINALLY got the items today. After two weeks of waiting, I finally got it. This is the longest I’ve ever waited for items I ordered from an online seller.

Of course, for any buyer, this situation can get very frustrating, especially when you really want the item and you expect it to be at your doorstep a few days after the said turn around time. But of course, there are unavoidable circumstances that the sellers also face. It’s a business, it’s never perfect.

Overall, I am satisfied with the items I ordered. It’s just like what I expected. I only hope for a better communication from the seller, initiation to update me, as a buyer, is very important. I would also say that the seller, Charina, is very nice. She was generous enough to give me 2 freebies, she didn’t have to do that, but she did.

Would I order from them again? Yes, I would. Given that this is just an isolated incident. I do recommend their products, so you should try them. :)

Update:

I used the Cinnamon Vanille facial scrub and it does make your face feel smooth. Loving it!

Hmm, an array of emotions must have been going through your head throughout the entire process. At least, that’s what would have happened if I were in your situation. The initial excitement of seeing the items online, and then the eventual frustration and “It’s too good to be true” thought that runs through your head, completed by the final exhale when you saw that the package had arrived.

Of course these types of things can be frustrating for the buyer, but the buyer should not have to worry. In my opinion, I think that the seller should have been a little more professional and should have send the packages out on time (without having to repackage it and whatever happened to her during the process). After all, s/he is running a business, so, as the buyer, I would expect that degree of professionalism.

Ugh that must have been really frustrating. I glad the products weren’t any disappointment though.

I hate waiting for things! lol. It’s good that you kept in touch the way you did since the seller didn’t. They really should be more organized in that way. Anytime anything is delayed I think the buyer should be informed. But in the end it doesn’t sound like too bad an experience. I may have to check that site out…I’ve been looking for a good face scrub!

Eh, I hate waiting for things to arrive. Glad, however, that the product stood up quality wise and was at least worth the wait. Still I do think that instead of you having to contact her, she should have immediately sent a contact out to all customers who were pending shipping. It would have been a little more professional in my opinion, but nonetheless you got two things free which rules as well.
