My Online Shopping Experiences

For the past weeks, I have been shopping online and offline for different stuff. Since PayPal is already allowed in the Philippines, I have been using it to purchase different items online. It is quite disappointing though, that most Filipino stores do not use PayPal as another option for payments. They should realize that one of the reasons people shop online is for convenience. So the method of ordering and then going to the bank to pay is such a hassle.

I made a Multiply group, Online Pinoy Sellers, and I invited the shops that I frequent. Some of them I have done business with. I even posted a review for Silver Slice. I bought a laptop bag from her and she was really nice and accommodating.

Scentsational sells original branded perfumes for a much cheaper price. My sister and I ordered two perfumes from her, Clinique Happy for Men and Paris Hilton Classic Set. Due to the weather conditions at that time, my order was delayed. I was supposed to receive the item on a Wednesday, but I got them on a Friday. I was satisfied with the seller and the items bought. She was very accommodating and kept me updated. She made me feel important, which is the kind of service I expect from online sellers.

I also bought Booboo stuff. I got her a PET CHAMOIS TOWEL, which is ten times more absorbent than regular towels. Plus, an electric toothbrush. I got them from Alaga Pets. Their items are quite affordable, although I was kind of surprised that they charge $3.50 for shipping, when I usually pay a dollar or two for it. The owner gave me a $1.50 discount but I was too clumsy I clicked on the PAY on the PayPal invoice. The owner said, she will just give me a discount on my next purchase. I wonder when will that be.

From ebay.ph I ordered a book, Into The Wild by Jon Krakauer, last year. It was a good read and I liked the movie, too. I couldn’t wait for it to get to Powerbooks so I had search for it on ebay. R also ordered The Hobbit on ebay, too. I gave the sellers positive feedback because they were very fast and efficient when they handled our orders.

Sexy lingerie, that’s the theme of this next seller. Lucky Doll Store sells different types of lingerie, sexy bikinis and beach cover-ups. I came across her store when I was looking for beach cover-ups. I looked through her catalog and bought me some lingerie. I was happy with my order and was waiting for them to arrive, but I was so disappointed that she sent me the wrong size. I told her about it and she offered to pay for the return shipping fee. I wasn’t able to ship it right away because I was busy, but I informed her about it, but my SMS wasn’t returned. In short, it was ignored. I am so disappointed with that transaction so I just asked my sister to sell them to her co-workers. One item was sold, but the other one is left on top of my drawer, collecting dust. It’s still inside the package, though.

I ordered a few from Milk & Mixture, I heard that their products are really good. I ordered Pinch My Apples, cheek and lip tint; Soufflé Cinnamon Vanilla, facial scrub; Jam Lip Balm; Eau de Yum, cologne. I placed my order on the 3rd week of July and paid the items on July 29. Until now, I haven’t received the items. The seller is very apologetic, but the lack of initiative on her part is really aggravating me. All I ask is that I am kept update if there are any problems, but I always initiate the communication via SMS. I do appreciate that she is shipping my items along with some freebies, so I can forgive her for all the delays. I just hope I get the items by Thursday, as she promised, yet again.

I know I’ll come across something soon and itch to buy it. I actually have more stories to tell, but this entry is getting longer and might bore you. :P

  4. I love the concept of shopping online; it makes things convenient. I just don’t do it often, I think I’m more of an in-store shopper. I like to see things physically before I buy them.

Into the Wild is definitely a good read and an excellent film. And so is the Hobbit.

Milk and Mixture looks interesting. Does she ship to the US?

Into the Wild? I’d like to read that. It’s been a long time since I’ve read a good book. :)

  7. I love shopping online, but you always have to be careful with where you’re giving out information too. Just never know these days. Lol. I’ve never used paypal but its a pain when you really want to get something and you can’t because the site doesnt have the service. Lol.
Sounds like some cool stuff you got ;)

  8. I really don’t like using PayPal. It’s not very convenient. I like Google Checkout much better.

  9. If I cant find it in stores, Ebay is usually my best bet and I love paypal majority of the time. Sounds like some nice things you bought.

  10. God I am an online shopper whore I TELL YOU!!! I am addicted to ebay.. though most of the items I only end up WATCHING. HAHAHAH!!! Pero I love the fact that I can get things for cheap sa ebay kasi most sellers there are wholesale retailers tapos minus the store and employee fees, kaya they can pass the savings sa customers!! HAHAHA!!! But I do buy from online stores too like from Victoria’s Secret, Old Navy, Hollister, Abercrombie, Guess, Diesel, Bebe, mga ganun.. pero pero pero I usually head straight sa Sale items nila! HAHAHAHAHHA!!!!!! Kasi those stuff usually you can’t find in the stores anymore.. plus sino ba naman aayaw sa sale? AHHAHAHAHHAHAH!!!!
