Spider Test Shots
I love my new camera. It has been producing really great photos. I have been reading photography stuff online at dPS and the articles are really helpful. I don’t want to be a photographer, but it is good to at least be knowledgeable since my camera is not for newbies. Really. I was a bit overwhelmed because I was used to another point and shoot camera that allowed me to select settings then shoot photos. Unlike this one, there different settings. I want to learn how to manually set the lighting, which ISO to use and things like that. It’s just a hobby but I want to be good at it, at least.
Here are some test shots. I am severely afraid of spiders, so when I saw one inside our bathroom before I took a bath, I’m sorry, but I had to spray Baygon on it. So it died. Now it’s a test subject.

Spiders tend to creep me out, so I’m certainly not opposed to you having killed one. That being said, I “try” my best to scoop them out of the house and let them live their normal existence. But if my wife is around I “have” to kill it or it will get back in the house at some time in the future (her words really).
I hope your loving your camera BTW.

My friend has this ridiculously complicated camera, that just intimidates me every time I hold it or even look at it. I bet your new one is one of those.
I love photography too, but I think I’m better off as an observer of the art, instead of the actual artist.

Nice pictures! I don’t want to see them enlarged though… big spiders scare me. Did you research about what kind of spider it is? It looks sorta exotic.
