Why So Serious?

R and I were sitting at Greenbelt 3 Cinema 5, seats F9 & F10 at 2:20pm yesterday. We were both anxious to see the most awaited movie, The Dark Knight. Now, I am not going to spoil this for anyone, so I am just going to tell you how I felt about the movie.
First of all, the film is not an action movie. If you’ve seen Batman Begins, you would know what I am talking about. You have to focus on the actor’s dialogs, it’s all in the dialogs. The film looks into order and anarchy, as well as a hero and a villain. The film is both dark and enthralling. Kudos to the Nolans for their outstanding adaptation of Batman.
Heath Ledger‘s performance is menacing and disturbing at the same time. It is unfortunate that he is not here anymore to listen to the buzz about his outstanding portrayal of the Joker. The writer of this film really thought about how his character would bring life to a villain that is dark and brooding, but is likeable at the same time by the viewers.
Some would say that without Heath Ledger, the movie would be nothing, and I can agree to that, but, like I said, it is not an action film. It was worth my money plus the reservation fee. ;)
R and I had fun.

I didn’t like the Joker! I was scared of him. Which means… I LOVE the movie! :D

If only I didn’t have so much stuff to do, I’d watch it tonight because my sister wanted to see it with me! And like there, you need to reserve the tickets in advance here. The ones for tonight are already sold out since like lunchtime! It probably helps that movie critics on the Seattle P-I gave it an A grade. I don’t think I’ve ever seen any other movie get an A.
I’ll try to watch it some other time though. I’m glad you liked it :)
